A serious event shook the city of Korça on August 8. Joan Zyko passed away at the age of 20, killed by his childhood friend with a Kalashnikov.
Zyko was part of the Skënderbeg academy until 2017, when he defended the goal of the U-15 team. He was also an ardent fan of the "Snow Wolves". In connection with this sad event, the Skënderbeg club has also reacted, writing through its official website:

Skënderbeu Football Club expresses its deepest sorrow and condolences for the untimely passing of Joan Zyko, former Skënderbeu Academy footballer and an ardent fan of the red and white colors.
Joan was part of our family, first as an academy footballer and then as one of those fans who hold Skënderbeu in their hearts.
In these difficult moments, we express our condolences to his family, relatives and friends.
