FIFA has clarified that Leandro Paredes was not given a red card following incidents at the end of the World Cup final, despite earlier reports.
"There was no cancellation of a red card. Because there was no red card. It was incorrectly displayed in the FIFA commentator information system and then deleted," FIFA clarified.
However, it is worth noting that the inappropriate actions and physical attacks committed by the Argentine player, Paredes, towards opponents after the match, continue to remain the subject of investigation.
