The footage released shows the intervention of plainclothes police officers, who have seized and then laid the protester on the ground. "I had bought eggs," Jurgen Malka, the detained protester, is heard saying to journalist Osman Stafa.
The incident was recorded during today's protest, which is taking place in several points in central Tirana, while outside the Parliament, calls against the government and the political class continue.
The full circumstances of the escort and the official reason for the police intervention against the protester have not yet been made public.
