Prime Minister Edi Rama, while declaring that the price of fuel in our country has increased moderately, triggered by developments in the Middle East, emphasized that it is not necessary to establish a transparency board.
In a meeting with fuel suppliers, the head of government said that it would be better if the profit margin for these suppliers was slightly lower than if the board were to be established.
"I want to close by asking you to maintain this balance that you are maintaining now. We have not seen fit to take the step and go to the board, because if the dialogue works as it has, our goal is to force you into your work. But we must agree that the crisis in the Middle East should not be projected entirely onto the shoulders of consumers. This means lower profit margins for you, but better lower margins than the board on your back. This is the conclusion we have reached," he said.
