A young man, participating in the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, raised concerns about the departure of young people from Albania, stating that institutions have failed to offer them prospects.
Referring to August 12, International Youth Day, he said that the question that needs to be asked is what has been offered to the youth in the country. “August 12 is Youth Day. The question I ask is: What have we offered to this youth? Why are they leaving?” he said.
He also recalled the government's previous agreements with students, asking what has been done with the promises for higher education. "A pact was made with the prime minister. What did you do with the pact for the university? What future do you give to these young people who are leaving Albania?", the protester declared.
He then accused politics of creating conditions that encourage the emigration of young people and criticized the law on territorial division, claiming that it was drafted in the interest of a certain group. "Where are these politicians who aim to drive away the youth? This law was made in the interest of a few people," he said.
At the end of his speech, the young man conveyed a message to the political class: "I have only one call: Albania of Albanians, not of those in power!"
