Prime Minister Edi Rama has returned with harsh language regarding the Belinda Balluku case. He has stated that charges have been filed against Belinda Balluku on suspicion that, in her capacity as a former minister, she committed the act of violating equality in tenders.
Rama added that the accusations against her were based on data found on the phone of her former subordinate Evis Berberi.
"We are only talking about the reasonable suspicion that, in her capacity as a former minister, she committed the criminal offense of "inequality in public tenders", 6 years ago, based on some SMS messages found years later on the mobile phone of a former director. On this fact, still completely uninvestigated, but previously served through "couriers" who enter and exit the train station like dog food, the prosecutor and judge decided to suspend the member of the government cabinet. An absurd measure! She suspended the function, not simply the person.
Therefore, there has never been a stupidity of this nature anywhere else in the world. There was an incomprehensible interference in powers: as soon as the suspension measure was announced and it was declared that it would go to the merits of the case, the request came today to authorize the arrest or not.
"The mere announcement of the accusation on the crooked path, and unfortunately made a habit by the "train station" investigative groups, who use the media as a paramilitary force to blame and eliminate their subjects, was enough to raise waves of hatred against Belinda Balluku and ignite 700 pots," he said.
