A person was injured with a knife in the village of Sovjan in Maliqi. According to preliminary information, the injured person presented himself to the emergency room of Korça Hospital to receive medical assistance.
From preliminary statements given at the emergency room, it is suspected that the injured man had a conflict with another person in the village over livestock, before the incident escalated to the use of a knife.
Police have headed to the scene of the incident and are working to fully clarify the circumstances, while verifications continue to identify the person involved.
According to hospital sources, the injured man suffered a wound to his abdomen and is currently under medical care. His condition is not currently life-threatening.
