The Saranda Court has ordered security measures for the five people arrested on Monday evening in the village of Gjashtë, after they were caught in possession of firearms and suspected of being prepared for murder.

Alfred Kaja, 26 years old, and Sidorel Moriseni, 33 years old, suspected of the criminal offense of "unlicensed possession of weapons", as well as Vitrin Hoxha, 21 years old, Franko Bobja, 22 years old, and Vionis Poka, 31 years old, suspected of "failing to report a crime", appeared before Judge Mexhit Doci.

All 5 arrested in Saranda had criminal records in the field of narcotics. Police said they had strong suspicions that they had organized to execute a person in the village of Gjashtë, Saranda.

According to the investigation, Kaja and Moriseni were caught possessing two pistols, one of which was equipped with a silencer, while the other three young men were in their company.

But the statements of the arrested during the investigation and in court did not support the suspicions of preparation for a murder.

Sources close to the investigation indicate that the five young men, who do not have significant criminal records, are suspected of being involved in a firearms trafficking affair. They are residents of various areas of Tirana and Rrogozhina, including Shkoza, Rreth Grethi and Kazie.

After reviewing the case, the court imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" for Alfred Kaja and Sidorel Moriseni, while for Vitrin Hoxha, Franko Bobja and Vionis Poka it imposed the measure "House arrest".
