Gent Progni is among over 20 protesters detained today following tensions that occurred during the protest organized in front of the Albanian Parliament, where the next criminal hearing was being held.
In a video filmed while in his cell, Progni says he was raped while being arrested, even though he was handcuffed and had no opportunity to resist.
"Ulsi Manja's bodyguards have been shooting at us. Saimir Koka, an employee of Vip Security and the owner, has been shooting at me non-stop. I had my hands down and we didn't put up any resistance. Even when they arrested me and I was in handcuffs, they kicked me from behind. They are accusing us of disturbing public peace and public property. Rama in prison, Berisha in prison!", he is heard saying.
