With creative banners, ironic messages and political appeals, thousands of citizens participated yesterday in the 16th protest held in Tirana, where the main demand remained the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
In addition to the slogan that has now become a daily refrain of the protests – “Rama resign” – the participants also brought banners with strong messages, which attracted attention during the march and rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
Among the banners that stood out were:
• “This land belongs to the people”
• “Tirana is not an Instagram filter, boss”
• “The future is not negotiable”
• “From Rome to Tirana for an Albania without Rama”
• “When dictatorship is a fact, revolution is a duty”
• “Even the rain doesn't wash away your sins”
The messages reflected the dissatisfaction and revolt of the protesters, who declared that they would continue the mobilization until their demands were met.
Meanwhile, today at 18:00 PM, citizens are expected to gather again for the 17th protest, with a meeting point in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
