Citizen protests against the government and the political class have entered their 15th day, with thousands of citizens gathering this Sunday in front of the Prime Minister's Office building in Tirana to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and changes to the country's political system.

Under the slogans "Rama resign", "Berisha in prison, Rama in prison" and "New Albania", the protesters continued the mobilization that has encompassed the capital and other areas of the country for over two weeks.

Albanian national flags were seen during the rally, as well as symbols of the countries where Albanian immigrants live. Particularly visible were the flags of the United Kingdom and the United States, while a number of immigrants have traveled to Albania to join the protest.

The protest began as opposition to planned tourism projects on the coast, initially in Zvërnec and then in Rrjoll. Residents and activists have raised concerns about the protection of private property, the transparency of strategic investments, and their impact on the environment.
