Three wanted persons were arrested during checks carried out by the Saranda Border Police Commissariat services at the Qafë Botë Border Crossing Point and at the Port of Saranda.
In Qafë Botë, 20-year-old JL, a resident of Saranda, was detained, who had been declared wanted and had been ordered to be held in prison in absentia. He is accused of the criminal offenses of "Unlicensed Production and Possession of Weapons" and "Disturbing Public Peace".
According to the Police, the young man is suspected of having fired a "Kalashnikov" type firearm into the air in neighborhood no. 1 of Saranda on March 12, in collaboration with other persons, disturbing public peace.
Also at the Qafë Botë Border Crossing Point, 27-year-old AL, resident of Divjaka, was arrested, wanted by Police Station No. 3 in Tirana for the criminal offense of "Intimidation".
Meanwhile, 43-year-old Luiz Danddan, a resident of England, was detained at the Border Crossing Point in the Port of Saranda. He was declared a national wanted person by the Saranda Police for the criminal offense of "Fraud".
The three detainees have been escorted for further legal procedures and will be handed over to the responsible structures for further procedural actions.
