Tirana Police have finalized the operation codenamed "Episodet", as part of a series of actions to identify and capture the perpetrators of vehicle and private property thefts in the capital.
As a result of the investigations and follow-up on the ground, citizen DM, 35 years old, was arrested, who is suspected of having stolen a vehicle on “Bardhyl” Street in the early hours of the morning of 30.10.2025. During his attempt to speed away, he crashed into two other vehicles parked on “Mihal Duri” Street, causing material damage.
After the accident, the 35-year-old abandoned the stolen vehicle at the scene, but was identified and arrested a few days later by police services.
Police announce that investigations are continuing to discover whether the arrested person is involved in other thefts that occurred in different areas of Tirana.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further legal action against the 35-year-old.
