As part of the 106th anniversary of Tirana's declaration as the Capital, the Tirana Association "Nderi i Kombit" organized the traditional spectacle "Sofra Tiranase", an activity that combines visual art with music and civic tradition, bringing to attention the best values of the capital over the years.
The festive evening opened with a painting exhibition, where the works of some of Tirana's best painters were presented, including creations by the great master Ibrahim Kodra, one of the most well-known figures of Albanian art in the international arena.
The exhibition brought an artistic journey through colors and motifs that reflect the spirit, history, and identity of Tirana.
The prefect of Tirana, Shkëlqim Hajdari, was also present at the event.
"The second challenge that Tirana and the association have is the completion of the Historical Museum of Tirana. I guarantee all the indigenous citizens of Tirana that as the prefect of Tirana, in cooperation with the municipality, we will turn that indigenous Tirana dwelling into the Historical Museum of Tirana," he said.
After the opening of the exhibition, the stage was given to the traditional concert “Sofra Tiranase”, which brought together well-known artists and singers from Tirana, Albania and beyond its borders. The atmosphere was characterized by Tirana civic songs, emotional performances and a mix of generations that brought to the stage the living tradition of the capital.
This activity, which has now become a tradition, not only celebrates a historical moment for Tirana, but also serves as a bridge between art, culture and community, strengthening civic identity and pride in the history of the Albanian capital.
