Tirana, 06/03/2026 – Tirana International Airport (TIA), in collaboration with its partner Lagardère Travel Retail Albania, organized on Friday for the first time a Recruitment Open Day, gathering a large number of young Albanians interested in employment opportunities in various sectors of the airport.
The activity was characterized by a Wide participation and high interest, hundreds of interested candidates presented themselves to explore career opportunities in areas such as aviation operations, customer service and the travel retail sector. The organization of this day aimed to create a direct bridge between young people looking to build their careers and one of the most dynamic sectors of the economy in the country.

This activity, organized for first time in this format, offered to provide an open and transparent platform where candidates could be informed about recruitment processes, professional development opportunities and the work culture at the airport, emphasizing TIA's commitment to equal employment and development opportunities for all interested candidates.
Participants attended presentations given by Sokol Kreci, Human Resources Director at Tirana International Airport, and Stanislav Beranek, CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail. Their presentations highlighted the rapid development of the airport in recent years, the expansion of infrastructure and the increase in professional opportunities resulting from the increase in passenger traffic and operational capacity.

Tirana International Airport, the largest airport in Albania and part of the Kastrati Group, has experienced a significant increase in passenger numbers and operational activity. To cope with this development, the airport is making significant investments in expanding terminal capacities, improving operational infrastructure, and digitizing and modernizing airport services.
This growth is also reflected in the expansion of the employee team. With the increase in operations, the number of employees is expected to increase by 17%, from 1,200 in 2025 to around 1,400 in 2026.
