The protest against the government enters its 99th day today, while citizens are expected to return to the Prime Minister's Office building to continue their rallies.

After nearly 100 days of protest, the citizens' demands remain unchanged: the removal of Edi Rama from the post of Prime Minister, the resignation of the government, and the establishment of a transitional cabinet.

Another important point of the protesters' position is related to some of the laws approved by the government. They demand the withdrawal of the law on strategic investments and the one on protected areas, which have long been opposed by citizens and opposition groups.

On the eve of the start of the new parliamentary session, the protest is expected to take another form. An escalation of the action has been announced for September 8, while protesters have announced that they will greet the deputies with eggs, in a sign of revolt against the majority.

Organizers and participants declare that they have no intention of stopping the protest. According to them, the sit-in will continue until the demand for a change of government and the removal of the current cabinet is met.
