Yesterday, the grand protest of citizens in Tirana ended on Rinas Street after midnight and was stopped by the police, which created some dissatisfaction.
It is understandable that not everyone saw what happened the same way. But one thing we should all be clear about: No momentary misunderstanding should become the cause of the disruption of the magnificent protest of Albanians!
When thousands of citizens rise up for a common cause, it is normal to have different opinions, misunderstandings, or unforeseen situations. This is not a sign of weakness. Weakness only begins when we forget why we came out to protest and start seeing each other as opponents.
Today, the greatest danger to this movement is not a misunderstanding among the protesters. The greatest danger is division. Any division serves unknown interests, serves those who want to see this civic revolt lose strength, stray from its purpose, and die out.
We must have the wisdom and calm to understand that a great movement is not judged by a single episode. It is judged by its stability, its unity, and its ability not to break in the face of difficulties. Anyone who today chooses to fuel divisions is doing harm to the cause they claim to defend.
Let us not forget that we are all united by the injustices and great mistakes of this government, not by petty disagreements. We are united by the problems that affect every Albanian family, not by the path that was followed for a few more or less kilometers. In the face of the mistakes and failures that have weighed on this country for years, a misunderstanding among the protesters is negligible.
Today more than ever we must stand together. Let us not fall prey to the emotions of the moment, to provocations or to interests that seek to divide us. This protest became great because it united ordinary people around a common goal. And it will only remain strong if it maintains unity.
No wrong step harms a cause as much as division. Therefore, today everyone's task is not to find reasons to separate, but reasons to stand side by side until the end.
No misunderstanding should break the unity against the government's major mistakes!
