A triple car accident occurred this Thursday afternoon on the Saranda-Ksamil national road, near the place known as Manastir. According to preliminary information, three vehicles collided with each other, while as a result of the accident, two Spanish citizens who were in Saranda for vacation were injured.

Immediately after the incident, ambulances and police services arrived at the scene, which took care of transporting the injured and normalizing traffic.

The injured have been identified as Jove Pibrall Jove, 24, and Catia Picac, 37. Both were initially taken to the Emergency Room of Saranda Hospital.

According to doctors, the 24-year-old man suffered injuries to his lower back and, due to his condition, was transported by ambulance to the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana for specialized treatment. Meanwhile, the 37-year-old woman suffered head injuries and is receiving treatment at the Saranda Hospital, where her life is out of danger.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident, but there is no official information yet on the circumstances that led to the three-vehicle collision. The accident also caused significant material damage.
