US President Donald Trump has stated that the war in Ukraine is very close to an end and that he believes in reaching a solution between Russia and Ukraine.
"The end of the war in Ukraine, I really think it's getting very close," Trump said when asked by reporters as he left the White House for a trip to China.
Trump's comments come just days after Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on Saturday that the war in Ukraine is nearing an end.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin reiterated Putin's stance on Tuesday, after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that Russia has no intention of ending the war.
