US President Donald Trump said he was in communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leaders, including Volodymyr Zelensky, as part of his efforts to broker a peace deal in Ukraine. He said he was a little disappointed with Zelensky, who he said had not read the US peace proposals.
"I have to say I'm a little disappointed that Zelensky hasn't read the proposal yet," Trump said, adding that he believes Moscow is willing to accept his idea.
"I think Russia agrees, I'm not sure if Zelensky agrees, his people like it," he said when asked about the next steps in possible peace negotiations.
