US President Donald Trump has warned of a strong response after US forces intercepted and neutralized an Iranian ballistic missile attack targeting Jordan overnight. "We will not stop until we completely defeat them. We will hit them hard," Trump declared in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday morning.

According to him, the US military had only a few minutes to react to the surprise attack, managing to shoot down the missiles before they hit their targets. Trump said he had seen footage of the operation, where US personnel communicated coordinates in real time during the process of intercepting the missiles.

The US president also announced that the attacks carried out by the US and Saudi Arabia against Iranian-backed Shiite militias in Iraq were carried out in coordination with the Iraqi government.

Trump called these militias "a cancer to the world" and added that his administration is considering imposing additional warnings and measures on Iran.
