Turkey and Croatia are ready. Both national teams managed to win their final friendly matches on the eve of the 2026 World Cup.

Vincenzo Montella's team triumphed with a 2-1 upset over Venezuela, in the match held at Chase Stadium in Florida. The first to take the lead were the American-Latins, thanks to Mendoza's super goal in the 13th minute. The Turks' reaction only comes at the end of the first half through Bari Yilmaz who takes advantage of a mess in the area and from very close range, makes no mistake in restoring the balance.

The Turkish team would find the winning goal, meanwhile, 9 minutes into the second half, thanks to Galatasaray striker Yunus Akgun, who scored a spectacular goal to seal Turkey's victory, with the score remaining unchanged until the end.

Croatia also did their job, with the Balkan team winning 2-1 in Varazdin against Slovenia. All three goals came in the second half. It was the home team, with star player Luka Modric, who would score the opening goal, with the Milan midfielder not giving up with a clever shot at the entrance to the area. The Slovenian team would equalize with Sporar in the 83rd minute, after a ball was passed incorrectly by the Croatian defenders.

When it was thought that everything would end in a draw, in the 3rd minute of extra time, Mario Pasalić would receive a pass from the left and with a very powerful shot would beat Oblak for the second time, giving success to Zlatko Dalić's team.
