Tirana International Airport (TIA) is pleased to announce that Turkish Airlines has commenced operations at TIA starting January 23, introducing daily flights on the Tirana-Istanbul route.

The entry of Turkish Airlines into TIA's airline network represents a significant expansion of air connectivity and further strengthens ties between Albania and one of the most important economic and aviation partners in the region. Turkey represents one of the most strategic markets for Tirana International Airport, driven by the high demand for business travel, tourism and family visits (VFR).

With daily operations, Turkish Airlines will connect Tirana to its global hub in Istanbul, offering passengers easy access to an extensive international network spanning Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. The launch of daily operations provides Albanian travelers with convenient connections to intercontinental destinations, including New York, as well as major cities in Turkish Airlines’ global network.

Commenting on the launch of this line, Piervittorio Farabbi, Operations Director of Tirana International Airport, said:
