Two tourists from Belgium were stranded on steep, snowy terrain in the Valbona Pass area.
According to the announcement, at around 14:00, a signal was received that the tourists, who were exploring the Valbona Alps, could not continue their journey due to difficult terrain conditions. Immediately after this, the services of the Tropoja Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Valbona search and rescue team, launched an operation to find them.
After several hours of searching on foot, the Police forces and the rescue team managed to locate the tourists in the Valbona Pass area and provide them with the necessary assistance.
The two Belgian citizens are in good health and have been accommodated in a hostel in Valbona, while they have thanked the authorities for their quick and professional response.
