The Police Supervision Agency has arrested two police officers of Police Station No. 3 in the capital, suspected of passive corruption and abuse of office.
Their investigation and arrest came immediately after the publication of several videos on social networks on 16.07.2026, where the officers were shown committing corrupt acts while on duty.
The arrested are the inspectors of the General Patrol, citizen DB, 25 years old, and citizen EK, 23 years old. The two young officers are charged with "Passive Corruption" and "Abuse of Office" committed in collaboration.
AMP announces that intensive investigative actions are continuing under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office to document the criminal responsibility of other persons implicated in this event, while the procedural materials have already been passed to the prosecution body for further prosecution.
