A police operation against prostitution has been finalized in Durrës, leading to the arrest of four foreign nationals and the prosecution of several other individuals. The police announce that the operation codenamed “Storm 17”, conducted by the Trafficking Investigation Specialists in cooperation with the Special Operations Force, was pursued for about 4 weeks with special investigative methods.

As a result, four Chinese citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, who had rented two premises in the areas of Golem and Shkëmbi i Kavajës, adapting them for the practice of prostitution. Also, four other citizens from Durrës, Kavaja, Shijak and Kosovo were criminally prosecuted while at large, for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".

During the operation, four passports and a sum of money were seized as material evidence. According to the investigation, the illegal activity was carried out in two rented premises in tourist areas, which were specially adapted for this purpose. The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Durrës, for further action.
