Two Albanian teams will take to the field on Thursday for the return matches of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, with AF Elbasan and Dinamo City looking to secure a place in the next stage of the competition.
AF Elbasani will face BATE Borisov at the “Mehdi Huseynzade” stadium, at 19:00. The yellow-blue team comes after a 1-1 draw in the first match held at the “Elbasan Arena”, where they put in a positive performance in their return to the European arena after two decades.
The Albanian team took the lead with Nikaj's goal at the end of the first half, while BATE Borisov equalized in the second half, leaving the question of qualification completely open. Elbasan travels with confidence for the return match, with the objective of continuing their European journey.
Meanwhile, Dinamo City will play away against Astana at the "Astana Arena", with the match starting at 17:00. The capital city team was defeated minimally 1-0 in the first match held at the "Elbasan Arena", but the narrow margin keeps their hopes for qualification open.
