Senior US and Chinese officials have agreed that no country should be allowed to impose transit tariffs in the Strait of Hormuz, the State Department said. The US and China are trying to find common ground in their efforts to pressure Iran to relinquish control of the Strait of Hormuz.
The State Department statement comes ahead of a key summit between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
