Gambia has released a preliminary list of players invited for the two September matches. Tirana's Joseph Colley is a surprise among the other names, as he is receiving the invitation for the first time.
The 27-year-old had previously played for Sweden's youth teams. The new addition to the list comes for the matches against Somalia and Ghana.
Colley has never played in the country of his birth, having moved to Sweden as a talent. The Tirana center-back has immediately earned a starting spot.
The Gambia's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers are about to begin. Ivory Coast is also in the group.
