Up to 4,000 illegal migrants are scheduled to be deported from the country in 2026.

This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Gela Geladze.

The minister noted that more than 1,300 illegal immigrants were deported from the country in 2025:

“This year alone, more than 400 illegal immigrants have been deported. Last week, I announced to the public that more than 1,300 illegal immigrants have been deported in 2025. Of course, this is our priority and we plan to deport up to 4,000 illegal immigrants from the country this year.”

It should be noted that Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze previously stated that the employment of foreigners will be significantly restricted by law starting March 1, 2026.
