This weekend, coinciding with Valentine's Day, has brought a high flow of vehicles on both sides of the common Albania-Kosovo border. The border points of Morina and Vërmica are facing an increased movement of citizens, who have chosen to spend the weekend and February 14 across the border.

The highest flow has been recorded at the Morina border crossing, where hundreds of citizens from Kosovo are traveling to Albania, mainly to spend the weekend in cities and mountainous tourist areas. This flow continues even now. Meanwhile, there is also considerable movement in the opposite direction, with citizens from Albania choosing Prizren, or other tourist centers in Kosovo to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Customs authorities on both sides of the border are working with all counters open, implementing the agreement for passage without detailed checks for citizens of both countries. Checks are being carried out only for vehicles with foreign license plates, while procedures have been expedited to avoid long queues and waits.

The festive atmosphere and favorable weather have significantly influenced the increase in traffic, turning this weekend into one of the busiest periods of February on the Albania-Kosovo border.
