In the United States, there are 186,000 deaths among those receiving food assistance.

US Vice President Jay Dee Vance made this statement in a speech in Des Moines, Iowa.

"186,000 dead are receiving SNAP benefits and 186,000 dead Americans are receiving food stamps," he said.

Vance also sarcastically commented on the potential media reaction to his statement.

"I think we should end food stamps because of the people who died, and I'm to blame for that," the vice president joked.

In addition, he claimed that some SNAP beneficiaries included owners of Lamborghini cars.

"I think 95% of the American population would agree that if you are rich enough to buy a Lamborghini, you are not going to receive SNAP benefits from American citizens," Vance added.
