Prime Minister Edi Rama is part of the World Law Congress being held in Tirana, where he praised the justice reform as a turning point in restoring citizens' trust in justice.
He stated that Albanians were accustomed to justice being in the hands of the government, while adding that it should be the law that rules, not force.
Rama added that arbitrariness is ubiquitous in the state system, including the justice system, but that improvement is aimed at. He also made a comparison with the opposition, saying that the majority has the EU, while they do not.
"We have the EU, they don't. The EU teaches you how to build institutions and gives you knowledge on how to do it," he said.

Albania has become the epicenter of a prestigious global movement for the rule of law. A world governed by law, not force, is the motto that has guided the World Association of Jurists since its inception.
Albanians did not believe that they would see in their lifetime a shift in the power of justice towards justice before the law. No one can blame those who were distrustful since it was not their daily life that had proven to them for years that justice was an illusion, but it was the history of the Albanian state that only proved that the power of justice was in the hands of the most powerful in politics.
