An F-16 fighter jet crashed in the Yalova province, northwestern Turkey, during a training flight. The pilot managed to eject from the plane and survived, while emergency teams were immediately mobilized at the scene. The news was confirmed by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, which announced that the incident occurred during a training flight.

According to Turkish media reports, the plane may have suffered a malfunction during the flight, however the exact cause of the crash has not yet been officially announced. Immediately after the incident, ambulances and numerous medical and emergency teams arrived at the area where the plane crashed.

The crash was accompanied by a large fireball and a thick cloud of black smoke, which were seen from several points in the area. The Ministry of National Defense confirmed that it was an F-16 aircraft and announced that a detailed investigation will be conducted to determine the causes of the accident.


"An F-16 aircraft crashed in Yalova during a training flight. Our pilot was rescued after being ejected from the aircraft. The causes of the accident will be determined after a detailed investigation," the ministry said in a statement. Pending the conclusion of the investigation, Turkish authorities have not provided further details on the possible defect that may have caused the crash.
