Journalist Xhensila Kodra has provided information for BalkanWeb footage of the escape, as one of the perpetrators appears with a Kalashnikov in his hand, and then the two of them leave on a motorbike.
The vehicle in question was parked by the perpetrators in front of the jewelry store.

On 16.05.2026, at around 13:00, in Kamëz, two still unidentified citizens, one of whom is suspected of carrying an object that appears to be a firearm, entered the premises of the jewelry store owned by citizen O. L, and took a quantity of jewelry.
Immediately after receiving the notification, the Police services went to the scene, set up checkpoints and are conducting checks of the area. The investigative group is working to capture any evidence that will lead to the identification and arrest of the perpetrators and the complete documentation of the case.
