A police officer and a business employee physically clashed this Monday morning in the area called "Malajziani" in Tirana.
Sources indicate that the conflict began after employees of a bar asked the officer to remove the car parked near their premises, claiming that it was obstructing the service area.
The debate between the parties quickly escalated, escalating from a verbal altercation to the policeman drawing his weapon.
Security camera footage shows the moment when the policeman pulls out his service weapon from the boy he is in conflict with, while other people are present, including two women.
The officer was questioned and stated to the AMP that he was at the scene by chance and did not know the people before. According to him, he was initially afraid that they would take his weapon and reacted by taking it out of his waistband.
The Police Supervision Agency has launched an investigation, while the policeman, who turns out to be employed by the Tropoja Police, is being investigated at large.
A disciplinary investigation into the police officer has also been launched by the Directorate of Professional Standards at the State Police.
