A volcanic eruption has been recorded in the Philippines on the island of Negros, which also caused volcanic ash to fall into the river areas.
In San Carlos, ash covered vehicles and crops, while rock falls were also reported in Canlaon.
Volcanic ash reached the neighboring island of Cebu, forcing many local authorities to suspend school activities for the day.
The island's governor ordered the disaster management office to closely monitor the situation, while placing all public hospitals in the province on high alert.
