Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has said that he will ask the EU to admit all Western Balkan countries to the EU together.

Vučić's reaction comes ahead of the Serbian president's trip to Brussels. On Wednesday, he will attend a dinner hosted by EC President Ursula von Der Leyen together with European Council President Antonio Costa.

"If you accept one, two, or three of us, what will we do with the rest? How will we handle this? How will we resolve all the open issues?" Vučić said at a panel titled "European Competitiveness in a Fragmented Geopolitical Environment", held at the Beltalks Forum organized by Globsec.

He added that it is about the future of the region, but also about the future of Europe.

"If someone wants to understand geopolitics, this is the only thing the EU can do: welcome us all together, without borders between us. Serbs will feel better, Bosniaks will feel better, Albanians will feel better, Croats will be fine, I hope. And I see only good things as the common denominator of this idea. This was my idea and I will openly say this tomorrow to both Antoni Costa and Ursula von der Leyen," Vučić said.
