Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić claims that Tirana, Pristina and Zagreb have established an "offensive, military alliance".

"This is an offensive alliance. There are people who dream that when there is conflict between parts of the West and Russia, this is an opportunity for former Russian allies, like us, to be completely destroyed," Vucic told TV Informer.

The Serbian leader has repeatedly accused Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo of establishing a military alliance against Serbia and the Serbian people in recent months.

The Defense Ministers of Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo signed a declaration to strengthen defense cooperation in March 2025.

The Croatian government previously told Radio Free Europe that the Declaration does not aim to create any military alliance, nor is such an alliance needed alongside NATO.

Responding to Vučić's previous accusations, Croatian Interior Minister Davor Božinović called for peace and cooperation in the region.

"Croatia is a member of the European Union and everything it does in international relations is done transparently," Božinović said on January 6.

Croatia and Albania are members of NATO, while Kosovo, whose independence Serbia does not recognize, is not a member of the alliance. /REL/
