Israeli media outlet Channel 12 reported that US President Donald Trump is expected to hold a meeting with his closest circle of advisers within the next 24 hours to decide on the possibility of resuming attacks on Iran.
According to the report, a senior Israeli official has stated that "the resumption of hostilities is very close," while Israel is preparing for a scenario that could bring "days or even weeks of clashes."
The same source said that the US administration has concluded that negotiations with Iran are not yielding results, while authorities in Jerusalem are awaiting Trump's final decision.
According to the official, developments are expected to be clarified within about 24 hours, at a time when tensions in the Middle East remain extremely high.
