"Polish special forces are preparing for the possibility of sabotage operations by Russia aimed at reigniting tensions between Poles and Ukrainians," said the Polish minister responsible for special forces, Tomasz Siemoniak.
Relations between Poland and Ukraine have deteriorated after the country's President Karol Nawrotski decided to revoke the highest state decoration "Order of the White Eagle" from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The decision was prompted by Kiev's controversial move to name a military unit after fighters of the Ukrainian Revolutionary Army (UPA), which is accused of the systematic extermination of tens of thousands of Polish civilians during World War II.
Siemoniak said that the information war against Poland has intensified in recent weeks.
"The dream of Russia, the dream of the Russian services, was and is the greatest possible tension between Poland and Ukraine," Siemoniak said.
