US President Donald Trump has issued strong warnings to Iran, stating that Tehran has until 08:00 am tomorrow to reach a deal or face serious consequences.
"They have until tomorrow at 8 o'clock, we'll see what happens. We're negotiating in good faith. After 8 o'clock they won't have bridges, stations," Trump said during a statement to reporters.
He also expressed dissatisfaction with the NATO Alliance, saying: "I am very disappointed with NATO."
Speaking about measures that could be taken against Iran, Trump declared that the United States is in a winning position and warned of imposing tariffs related to the Strait of Hormuz.
"We are winners, they are losers. We will impose tariffs (on the Strait of Hormuz)," the US president said.
Trump also warned of a harsh military response, saying he did not want to take such action, but that it could cause "total destruction."
"It will take them 100 years to rebuild their country," he declared, referring to Iran.
The US president reiterated that Washington will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, calling this a red line for his administration.
