The popular revolt demanding the removal of the government and the non-negotiable resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama has entered its 47th day today.
While the next plenary session is being held in the Parliament today, what is noticeable is that numerous police forces and water trucks have been deployed in the courtyard in front of the Parliament. Meanwhile, there are no protesters in the area.
The measures were taken considering that in one of the past sessions, a protest was held in front of the Parliament, with citizens demanding the removal of the government, and where there were also clashes between them and the police, with the latter using violence, tear gas and arresting 19 protesters, who were later released by the court.
