Amidst the emotions and calls against the government, a protester conveyed a strong message during the 23rd civic protest, raising concern about the mass emigration of young people and the separation of Albanian families.
Speaking as a mother of children living abroad, she said that thousands of Albanian parents are experiencing the pain of their children leaving due to the lack of prospects in Albania. The protester accused the government of failing to create opportunities for young people in the country, stressing that Albania is losing its most valuable generation.
Further, she called on young people living outside Albania to contribute to changing the situation in the country.
"The diaspora showed the prime minister that we are all united. I am speaking as a mother with children in emigration. Every night we wait for the phone call with longing, we follow them with longing when they leave, we do not know if we will see them again. This crazy prime minister left us alone and took our children away. And without a trace of shame he says you left your parents to die alone. To leave the children to the streets of the world because they were not given a future in this country. We have a wonderful youth, where are our children today. What is happening to this country. A call to the youth, return to the country to expel this dictatorship that has become like that bad weed to us.
He put Zegjinena in the Assembly expecting us to deal with him, but he forgot that we have common sense and do not tolerate it.
If one of us had made a small mistake he would be in jail, meanwhile Belinda has stolen billions and is not going to jail. Do they think they will die one day? When you die there will be no more places because you have left no places.
"Let's unite as much as possible so that the protest doesn't break up," she said.
