Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke about Maduro's arrest after a meeting of the National Security Council.

Vučić has emphasized that 'international law has been destroyed' and that, according to him, the world is being dominated by the law of the strongest.

"We are aware of the complexity of the position that our country has in this region, Southeast Europe, and of course this complexity of our position will be increasingly emphasized, given the fact that the old order in the world is collapsing and no rules apply anymore."

Public international law does not exist, the UN order exists on paper. As a small country we must advocate for it, but we must understand well, after the action in Venezuela it is now completely clear, that the UN Charter does not work.

"The world is dominated by the law of force and the law of the strongest," he said, adding that "whoever is stronger oppresses," Vučić said.

He further adds: "We are concerned about the further armament of Pristina, as well as the alliance with Croatia and Albania. They plan to develop more complex systems and I want to say that Serbia is following this closely.

"We are not only pursuing it, but also preparing for defense against those who openly threaten our country. We believe that our strength will be a sufficient deterrent and that we will achieve our first goal - which is to preserve peace in Serbia," Vučić said.
