The extended meeting of the Socialist Parliamentary Group has begun where a decision will be made on SPAK's request regarding Belinda Balluku's immunity. Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the beginning of his speech, stated that this time it will be the government that will report before the group, on special topics that will be addressed by the relevant ministers.

Rama also underlined that he will share the opinion created regarding the complex situation the country finds itself in, from the economic situation and the path towards the EU, stating that they are at a new crossroads despite economic growth. According to him, Albania has excelled internationally.

"As the head of the group said today, we are in this special meeting at the end of the month where this time the government will report to the group and since the special topics related to each sector will be addressed by the relevant ministers, I would like to share with you here, taking advantage of the presence of the public and our voters through the media, the opinion that I have created regarding the complex situation we are in, not simply us as a majority in favor as a country. After a historic victory in the meeting, after the opening of all chapters in record time, as well as after developments related to both the progress and the fate of the historic reform in justice, and the path of economic growth and political stability.

I believe that we must see together that we are at a new crossroads. While the economy continues to move at the predicted pace, projects in development, under design or planned to be developed during this mandate, the crossroads where we are today presents several risks that require a determined addressing and discipline on our part, I am talking about MPs and ministers.

Otherwise, Albania risks remaining in the minority, losing the greatest opportunities it has had to rise to where the legacy of Skanderbeg and Ismail Qemali demands. According to Rama, by wasting the most precious time to rise and walk towards the European path, Albania risks remaining in the minority, he said.
