MP Redi Muçi held a meeting at the office of the Commissioner for Enlargement in Brussels, where, according to him, he presented concerns regarding four laws that the opposition describes as "notorious".
Through a public reaction, Muçi announced that during the meeting, legal arguments for the repeal of these laws were presented and that representatives of the European Commission were committed to reviewing the proposals presented.
"We presented the legal arguments for the repeal of the four infamous laws and received a commitment that they will review our proposals," the MP said.
According to Muçi, strengthening democracy and respecting the rule of law remain essential elements on Albania's path to European integration. "Democracy is the value with which Albania will integrate into the European Union," he declared.
The MP emphasized that the issues raised are related to respecting democratic standards and harmonizing Albanian legislation with European Union principles.
