Opportunity Party MP Erald Kapri has accused the government of mismanagement and corruption in the infrastructure and port development sector in Albania.

According to Kapri, the country has not benefited from infrastructure investments in recent years, while existing projects have been implicated in investigations or denounced as corruption affairs.

Guest on "This Week" in News24, Kapri also mentioned former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, emphasizing that projects related to her are already subject to review by SPAK.

"Not only do we not have any new ports, railways, or roads, the responsibility of former Deputy Prime Minister Balluku, but even the ones we had are either in SPAK, or have been exposed as corrupt affairs, and the ones that the prime minister intends to do, will be decided by the prime minister for the details."
"We have given the ports for the construction of palaces. Rama has chosen a group of people close to him who give him tenders and licenses, so he enriches them and through them he maintains power. What is being done is an African model, not a European model," he said.
