US warships are being restocked with the "best ammunition" to resume attacks on Iran if peace talks fail in Pakistan, Donald Trump told the New York Post today.

"We'll find out in about 24 hours, we'll know soon," he added.

"We have a reset in the pipeline. We are loading the ships with the best ammunition, the best weapons ever made - even better than the ones we made before and blew up," he said.

Trump said that if a deal is not reached, "we will use them very effectively."

The US president had posted today on his Truth Social platform, vaguely referring to the "MOST POWERFUL REINSTATEMENT IN THE WORLD."
