On the 74th consecutive day of protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office building against the head of the executive, Edi Rama, a young doctor, once a participant in the 2018 student protests, has joined the podium. He has denounced the government's efforts to forcefully keep healthcare professionals in the country, without offering them dignified conditions and salaries.

During his speech, the young doctor drew a parallel between the 2018 student movement and the current crisis, emphasizing that the dissatisfaction in society has deepened even further:

"I am one of the protesting students in 2018, currently a young doctor by profession. Today's situation is a sad reflection of our situation in 2018. Even then, we stood up for more or less the same things, we stood up for the conditions in the education system. We demanded an increase in the government budget for education, and we are sorry that today the students are demanding the same things. Our misfortune was that the majority were deceived in the protest. Today, the dissatisfaction has grown even more!"

He further focused on the challenges faced by young doctors and the lack of a vision for the development of hospital and scientific services in Albania:

"Today we face the challenge and the thought of leaving the profession. Why should young people who have studied here seek their future abroad? What has this 13-year-old government done to keep professionals and students here? The clear reflection of this failure was the law's attempt to keep young doctors in Albania by force. This is an obligation to stay here, but no perspective, no proposal for salary increases that are equivalent to the difficulties we have. No perspective for scientific development, no perspective for proper service for patients."
